Feedback From a Professional Author

I'll read your short story or novel chapter (up to 5,000 words) and give you expert feedback. You'll get feedback tailored to your skill level, along with valuable insights on how to improve.

My feedback will be between 500 and 3000 words. I usually discuss 2-3 points that I think will benefit your writing the most. You can let me know if you want me to focus on anything specific.

What You SHOULD Expect

• Professional, in-depth, genre-appropriate feedback
• Respect for your craft and voice
• Actionable advice to make your story better
• Experiential knowledge that you can't get anywhere else

What You SHOULDN'T Expect

• Validation / excess positivity (but I will give you praise wherever appropriate)
• Checklist-style feedback (e.g. title, introduction, character, conflict... all the way down)
• Publishing advice (my feedback is aimed at helping you write better)

You can send me the short story from your Prose Masterclass assignment, or something else. It's your choice.
